At the table

Tell Alfred where you’re dining and what you’re eating. He finds the bottle that suits the dish and the occasion, tells you who made it and why that matters, and quietly flags when a price asks rather more than the wine deserves, and when a bottle is genuinely well priced.

In the kitchen

Cooking tonight? Tell Alfred the dish and he names the pairing, then checks what your own cellar has to match it. He remembers, too: pair a crisp white with a Panang curry in August, and he brings it up in September.

Planning a dinner party? Give him the whole menu, course by course. He pairs each one, you choose the styles, and he writes out the shopping list, then remembers how the evening went.

In the cellar

Alfred keeps your bottles in order: what you own, what you paid, what each is worth now, and when it will be at its best. Ask what to open tonight and he considers what’s for dinner before he answers.

Bringing a cellar with you? Email Alfred your CellarTracker or Vivino export and he files every bottle, laid out for your review first and reversible for a week. New case from the shop? Lay up to four bottles on the counter; one photo reads them all.

On iPad, the cellar becomes a proper room: locations and sorting along one side, your bottles in the middle, and any bottle’s story open alongside.

Remembered, always

Every table, every party, every bottle you meet. A friend’s choice, a host’s pour, a taste offered across the table: show Alfred the label and he notes where you met it and how it struck you. Should you ever want to find it again, he knows exactly which bottle you mean.

It all gathers on your own timelines, quietly shaping what he recommends next. Your history follows your email to any device.

In the library

Wine, one story at a time. Alfred’s library holds the tales behind the bottles: the widow who built a champagne house, the vine plague that nearly ended European wine. Add maps of the great regions and a butler who will answer any question without a hint of a lecture.

And when you travel, Alfred travels with you: he translates the menu, pours what the locals pour, and writes out your order to show the server. Pronunciation optional.
